THE POTTERY MAN

Adopt A Potter Charity

All 100 mugs now sold, thank you if you bought one. Mug number one was sold on Facebook for £70 and the remaining 99 raised £1699 making a total of £1769.

Many universities no longer run ceramic courses and there is a demand for them. The Adopt a Potter charity help place young people with experienced potters in the workplace. An ambitious project is to start a "Clay College" in Stoke on Trent where young people can be taught by experienced working potters.

David Melville has made 100 limited edition mugs to raise funds and the entire payment will go towards Clay College Stoke.

David says, "I appreciated the training I received in the late 70's which has enabled me to make my living as a potter for over 35 years".
